Welcome to the land of Kilts, neeps and tatties. Located at the north of UK, is Scotland your wee but diverse and growing nation. Recognised as the creator of many things such as your first ever television (1926) invented right at the university of Strathclyde, your Telephone (1876), your Fridge (1748), the most forgotten about football (not soccer😱) in 15^th century. but we c✈annae forget about our most known inventions, which we are most proud to represent as Scots,  is the  WEATHER⛄⛅🌞 and WHISKEY!!!😊

“So, where about are you from?”💭

A question asked constantly by my fellow Scottish citizens. Although I was not Born in Scotland, I am practically a native, in use of the slang, the accent and making sure to do my daily complaints about the weather, 😂I am fully submerged in cultural etiquette displayed in Scotland daily.

 

“please”, “Thank You”, “excuse me” or “sorry to bother you”🙏

Known to be a very friendly😃 bunch, you can say Scots take pride in being warm and welcoming. one of the most driven etiquettes displayed daily by myself and individual Scots, that is a part of the culture is “politeness and courtesy which is highly valued in the Scottish culture”. Displayed through smiling, saying “Hello” 👋 to the bus driver, postman, neighbour, shop owner or even the stranger in the street displays friendliness, politeness and shows a sign of your awareness to people around you and it can make one feel included and belonging as a smile and a “Hello” can go a long way, adding a positive vibe to your day.💕

So next time you walk into to corner store, be encouraged to smile and say “Hello” or as a Scot would say “Alright Mate”😊
